Xtreme Metal Finishes

Choosing the correct metal finish for your components can be as important as the components themselves.
Tamlyn UK offer a range of metal finishes to suit all manner of applications and projects.

Metals

  • Aluminium – A lightweight and corrosion-resistant option.
  • Steel – Offers superior strength.
  • Stainless steel – Exceptional durability with a sleek aesthetic.
     

Finishes

  • Pre-coated – Available in a wide range of colours and textures, applied directly to the metal during manufacture. Available finishes include polyester, PVDF and PVF2, in 2, 3 and 4-layer finishes.
  • Powder-coated – Applied electrostatically to a typically-Qualicoat standard, guaranteeing a minimum thickness of 40 microns.
     

Fire ratings

  • The fire rating of pre-coated steel and aluminium depends on the paint thickness, with thicker paints offering a higher resistance.
    • 2–3-layer pre-coated metals – A1 fire rating
    • 4-layer pre-coated metals – A2 fire rating
  • Mill-finish aluminium and stainless teel naturally achieve an A1 fire rating.

 

Colour options

  • Standard colours – Tamlyn UK offers a vast selection of standard colours, matching the RAL colour chart.
  • Custom colour-matching – We can match virtually any specific colour (BS, Pantone or something else) upon request. Please note that custom colours are non-standard and may incur an extended lead time.

 40 year warranty certificate

Warranty

  • Our standard warranty on painted architectural fabrications is 30 years.
  • Our Xtreme trims for 8mm and 10mm plank systems have a 20-year warranty.
  • A 40-year warranty can be provided upon request, but this is based on using an enhanced powder coating system and is not standard.
